Canning Cheese

I was told that I was able to can cheese at home. I did some about 3 months ago and it is great. I tried it and it is good. I did some more on Monday so I thought I would post instructions.

Bake your wide mouth jars for 15 minutes at 245 degrees.
Melt cheese in pan and ladle into jars.
Wipe top of jars
Water bath for 45 minutes.

  1. This is simply brilliant. I had never heard of canning cheese and butter until recently. I am so excited!!! I have a whole bunch of homemade butter right now that I'm getting ready to put away this week. Woohoo! Thrilled.
